What is Higgsfield AI? How to Use It? Amazing Video Examples
Higgsfield AI is a video generation platform that turns a single image into a moving video. What makes it stand out is that you can guide the result by typing a simple prompt. You can also choose different styles, effects, and even how the camera moves—giving you more control over the final video.
Update (23rd June, 2025) – Higgsfield AI can now edit images too, as they released a new feature called Canvas. It really is a mind-blowing tool and something we’ve never seen before. We made a video on how to use this new feature. You will find it towards the end of this article.
What makes it different than other AI video generators?
What makes Higgsfield AI different from most other AI video generators is the level of control it gives you. Instead of just typing a prompt and hoping for the best, you can actually choose camera movements and cool effects that shape how the video looks. The best part? The results look surprisingly real—none of that awkward, fake AI feel you often see with other tools. Most platforms don’t even offer these features, which makes Higgsfield feel way more polished and creative.
Some of the effects (as shown in the videos below) are so amazing that it literally feels like having a camera in your hand and shooting a video. Because you can pretty much do anything. Even special effects like Disintegration (shown below in Video 3) and Flying (shown below in Video 1) are easy to implement and really cool.

Huge Update (June 2025) – Higgsfield AI Can Now Edit Images Too

Another Huge Update (July 2025) – Create Ultra-Real AI Photos of Yourself
On 9th July 2025, Higgsfield released a new tool called Higgsfield Character. This allows you to create images of yourself (or someone else) that look very real. So you can even upload your photos and make yourself do anything in the AI photos. It’s absolutely mind blowing because the AI photos actually look more real than the real photos. We made a video on it the moment this feature was released. You can watch it below:
Is Higgsfield AI Free?
No, it’s not free. The basic plan will cost you around $9/month, but honestly speaking you should be ready to spend a bit more because the issue with video generators like Higgsfield is that you run out of the credits quickly. So you may find yourself having to purchase additional credits for $5. So keep that in mind. However, if you are only interested in the image generation and editing tools that Higgsfield has, and not the video part, then it should not be a problem even at $9/month plan.
Free Alternatives to Higgsfield AI
Higgsfiled has a lot of competitors and some of them can be used for free. Check out this article, where we have shown all the free alternatives to Higgsfield AI.
Does Higgsfield AI Allow NSFW?
Yes, Higgsfield allows NSFW and uncensored content via the Wan 2.5 video generator and Seedream 4.0 image generator and editor. We have covered this in detail in this article.
Is it Just Hype or Is Higgsfield Here to Stay?
Many AI video generators come and go, but Higgsfield AI seems built to last. It stands out not just for its realistic results, but also for the constant stream of updates, new features, and active social media presence. The ability to add camera movements and special effects already sets it apart, but what really signals its long-term potential is the upcoming “Speak” feature. This will let users sync realistic lip movements with audio—something we haven’t seen done this well before. With a clear focus on innovation and quality, Higgsfield AI feels more like the future of video generation than just another passing trend.
