In this video we will be seeing how to the Magic Fill feature in Ideogram AI to replace a product (juice bottle) in a shot with our own product (called as product placement). Video Summary

This tutorial showcases Ideogram AI’s Magic Fill feature for seamless product replacement within existing, high-quality images, claiming it can eliminate the need for traditional product photography [00:00].

  • Setup: The user starts in Ideogram’s Canvas, uploading the professional background image and a basic image of the product to be inserted (a juice bottle) [01:56]. The new product image must be scaled correctly and placed outside the main frame [02:38].
  • Masking and Prompting: The Magic Fill tool is used to mask the existing product that needs replacing [03:16]. A prompt is entered describing both the new product on the side and the professional shot being edited [04:05].
  • Key Adjustment: The bounding box (pink frame) must be manually adjusted to encompass both the masked area and the uploaded product image [04:50]. Keeping this frame as small as possible helps maintain a higher replacement resolution [05:44].
  • Results & Quality: Ideogram generates four variations, often achieving a perfectly integrated replacement that matches the scene’s lighting, liquid shade, and text, sometimes requiring a few retries [07:04].
  • Superiority: Ideogram is superior to general-purpose AI tools (like the version of ChatGPT shown) because it performs local editing within the masked area, preserving the photorealism of the surrounding image [11:21].
